Narrative
LEXINGTON, SC – An infant child was killed and three others were hospitalized following a rear-end crash in Lexington on Sunday night.
First responders say a pickup truck collided with the rear of an SUV on Edmund Highway at about 9 p.m. The impact caused the SUV to skid off the roadway, strike a tree, and overturn.
A 2-month-old child in the SUV was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The child’s two parents were also hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
