Narrative
TAYLORS, SC – A 55-year-old man died Friday after a vehicle struck him at an intersection in eastern Greenville County.
Emergency crews reported to the scene around noon at the intersection of Brushy Creek Road and Barrington Drive, which is just west of Eastside High School in Taylors.
The investigation indicates that a 1999 Jeep SUV struck the pedestrian, who died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Oscar Eduardo Plazas-Salazar.
It is unclear if the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene to render aid and speak with police.
The investigation is ongoing.
