Narrative
MURRELLS INLET, SC – An 83-year-old man died Thursday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in northeast Georgetown County.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Wood Thrush Drive and US-17 northbound. This is west of Tupelo Bay Golf Center.
Police say that a westbound Jeep Wrangler crashed into a northbound Chevy pickup truck.
The driver of the Jeep died aft the hospital. Authorities identified him as Michael Hanchulak.
A full investigation is underway.
