Narrative
JOHNS ISLAND, SC – A 30-year-old man sustained fatal injuries earlier this month in a single-vehicle collision in east-central Charleston County.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd, along Fickling Hill Road in Johns Island, which is about 14 miles southwest of Charleston.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control and crashed along the roadway. The force of the collision threw the passenger from the vehicle, killing him at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Julian Navarro-Hernandez. They didn’t find the victim until three days after the collision.
Medics transported the driver of the vehicle to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
